Smarter Ice Management: New Software Registered for Energy Optimisation at Ice Arenas

The company has successfully completed the registration of new software — an intelligent system for temperature regime forecasting and energy consumption optimisation based on an autoencoder model.

The software has been developed specifically to improve the operational efficiency of refrigeration systems at ice arenas. Its primary objective is to reduce energy consumption while ensuring a stable and precisely controlled ice surface temperature.

How does it work?

The software solution takes into account the physical laws of heat transfer and applies machine learning algorithms to analyse data collected from sensors. This enables real-time temperature forecasting, thermal process modelling, and dynamic adjustment of equipment operation.

Where is it used?

The solution can be integrated into automated climate control systems, energy-efficient process management platforms, and industrial facility monitoring systems.

Key capabilities:

· Forecasts the temperature regime of the ice surface
· Optimises energy consumption
· Analyses data from temperature sensors and thermal imaging cameras
· Builds thermal models of the ice
· Controls equipment within defined physical constraints

By implementing this solution, ice arenas can significantly reduce electricity costs while improving the stability of the ice microclimate — ultimately enhancing comfort for both athletes and spectators.

The software is already being used by our team in daily operations, not only at ice arenas.
