Ecomanagement moves beyond Russia. First market — Belarus
Independent Energy LLC, developer of the Ecomanagement platform, and the Belarusian company Kantardo LLC have signed a memorandum of strategic cooperation on the promotion and deployment of the platform in the Republic of Belarus. The cooperation covers building a local channel for sales, implementation and service support of Ecomanagement solutions.
Why now
For six years we have been building the platform on the Russian market: sites in 50+ regions — retail chains, fitness clubs, filling stations, ice arenas, warehouses, hotels. Along the way we have grown a trained network of integrators who deploy and service the platform locally. The product has stopped being a series of one-off projects and become replicable — and that is the experience we are now starting to test outside the country.
Belarus is the logical first market. A similar engineering school, the same equipment installed on site, shared energy-efficiency regulation, no language barrier. It lets us test the international expansion model without spending a year adapting the product to a different culture.
Why through a partner rather than on our own
We have deliberately chosen not to open our own entity in Minsk with an in-house installation crew. Entering a foreign market with a landing party is expensive and slow.
The model is different: we provide the platform, the algorithms, engineering design, training and support. The local partner handles everything that happens next to the customer — sales, equipment supply and installation, commissioning and service. Kantardo receives exclusive status as distributor and technology integrator of Ecomanagement in the Republic of Belarus.
Kantardo has worked in the Belarusian climate equipment market for more than 25 years. The company has over 1,000 completed projects, a dealer network across the country and a well-developed service infrastructure. For Ecomanagement it matters that the partner brings deep engineering expertise and years of experience delivering climate projects. That foundation is now complemented by monitoring, analytics and automated control technology.
Entering a new market through a major climate systems distributor pays off for both sides.
For us it means reaching sites early — before the equipment has been bought and installed. When automation is designed in together with the climate system instead of being retrofitted onto a running one, installation is faster and cheaper: no opening up finished switchboards, no pulling cable through finished interiors, no sorting out compatibility after the fact.
For Kantardo it means a wider product line and additional value on every project: control, analytics and a service subscription are added to equipment supply and installation. The customer gets not only the hardware but the result of how it runs, measured in kilowatt-hours — a strong argument in a tender against competitors offering the same equipment.
What's next
The coming months: training the Kantardo team and launching the first pilot sites.
